2018 Fall Pack Family Camping Trip

Posted by jstokes on Oct 19 2018 - 8:17am

We had a great time at our annual Fall Pack Family Camping Trip at the KOA right here in Millersville, MD. The weather was perfect. A total of 43 youth and adults gathered together for outdoor activities and learning about camping, cooking, hiking and scouting skills like first aid, knot tying, pocket knife safety. We also got to cook over the campfire hotdogs, marshamallows and brownies, tell jokes, stories and sing songs. I hope to see everyone at our next camping trip at Antietam National Battlefield on November 2-4, 2018.

September - Welcome Back & Join Scouting Night Pack Meeting

Posted by jstokes on Sep 18 2018 - 8:41am

Thank you everyone who attended the Piney Orchard Trail hike on 9/15/2018. The boys had a great time on their 1.5 mile A-Z scavenger hunt through the preserve. They used their imaginations to select sights, sounds, and signs of items in nature including that which began with Q, X, and Z including "Zebra Striped Grasshoppers" :)

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Join Scouting pack meeting this Monday September 24th at 7pm. Please invite your friends to join us. We will have games and activities for the kids while we provide additional information to the parents. Registration for all families both new and existing will also begin that night.

The rainguter regatta and annual pack picnic was super fun! The scouts built model boats and after some hot dogs and hamburgers raced the boats to the finish line. We are looking forward to the start of our new cub scout year. Don't forget the Welcome Back/Join Scouting night is September 24, 2018 @7PM. See you then.

We also would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Cub Scouts and their families that have joined the pack this summer. We are looking forward to sharing the adventure with them. The exciting summer activity schedule continues and our regular meetings will be starting back up this September. I hope to see you soon.
